The first week!!!!

So I have been in Barcelona for a week know. It has been hectic, overwhelming, crazy, amazing and fun!!! I arrived Friday in my new apartment and met my new roommates. We unpacked and went grocery shopping. Later that night we went out to eat to get to know each other better. Saturday was like Friday. A lot of walking, buying stuff for the apartment and going out to eat. Sunday was my relax day and I walked around the neighborhood. The first day of my internship wassss..... it is hard to subscribe how I felt. No one spoke English, so we nearly understood what the people where saying. We where told that there would be a meeting in Spanish that we had to listen too. This meeting took place for 2-3 hours. During this time they only spoke Spanish. The Childers. Would be coming that Tuesday. That Monday was the day to make everything ready. We didn’t feel very welcome the first day. But after a stressful few days (like knowing where I will be standing, getting to know the people and kids) I’m enjoying myself a lot more then the first few days. The schedule is a lot more clearer i will be working with age groups 1,3 and 5. The people there are also trying to communicate and I’m trying to understand what they are saying. A lot of things are different compared to holland. Like the children eat with big silver spoons, sleep with there shoes on, you change the diapers standing up and you rock every kid to Sleep. 

Thursday our internship agency Dutch student abroad arrange a meeting to get to know more Dutch people who are interning in Barcelona. We did a activities together and then we went to drink something. Friday night we went out with a couple of Dutch people to a club. Saturday we went shopping on the las ramblas and then went out to eat.  Sunday we went to the Barcelona zoo with the roommates!!!
